The architect aligns directions, technologies and priorities with operation, process and implementation. The architect is responsible for driving and articulating standards, planning, renewal and implementation strategies as well as forecasting future Institute needs. The architect maintains knowledge of the current technology and keeps abreast of trends. The architect responds to escalated requests for new services, recommends solutions based on technical assessments that fit with MIT infrastructure. The architect works closely with the process manager and service provider roles in solving problems, addressing needs and managing change as well as sponsorship of renewal and rollout projects.
