Student Center Survey

The goal of our survey is to gather student feedback on current impressions of the Student Center and the services and activities offered within, and to assess student needs and wishes for the future of the Center. Our strategic planning team (consisting of four students, one faculty member, and four staff members) has been working with an outside consultant to create a vision document for the future of both the Stratton Student Center and Walker Memorial. We are examining such topics as hours of operation of dining facilities, availability of lounge and social space, types of activities and recreation available to students and the greater MIT community, convenience of services, community interaction, and much, much more.

Although no plans for renovation are implied in this process, the resulting vision document would serve as a foundation for such decisions as they arise in the future. In the meantime, the document would be used to assist the Campus Activities Complex in making day to day operating decisions within the Stratton Student Center and Walker Memorial.
