Hi, What if I cut about 6" out of that bar on the top frame, then weld a
short but heavy turn buckle into the gap. They make beautiful stainless
enclosed turnbuckles that are used with wire rope. So tell me what you think.
 - Has anyone figured out what actually happens to the top frame to let it
sag? What part has bent or wore or twisted or whatever it did? Tommy in
Tampa - with the saggy top blues

Tommy:
If you want to get the sag out you really have two options. One would be to tap a couple of holes on each side of the split where they sag and brace with a piece of steel which has a couple of screws tapped though it into the frame. This is a pain as you have to remove the brace to take the top down. The second is to remove your top frame and put a bit more bend into the metal bar which rides on the sides. This is suppose to take the sag out per a friend of mine who has done it several times. He said it's not to easy.

Hi all, Has anyone cut a hunk out of the bar on the top frame that you bend
to take the sag out? I was gona bend it today but that kind of remedy makes
me feel a lot like Jed Clampett. This top sags a lot and the bend will be
noticeable. We have great welders that can weld it oh so good. Or I had the
idea to make an adjuster kinda like the brake adjuster bolt thing. It would
replace the rivet/hindge at the rear of that same bar. Then you could fine
tune the frame and remove the sag. There must be a better approach than the
one from the Jetho Bodine school of engineering. Comments Please - Tommy in

November 10th was last time Amphi was on road. What a long bilgeing
bilgeing bilgeing bilgeing bilgeing winter. Went for fuel and ended up
going about 60 miles. It takes a little while to get used to. Now it is
time to recheck fluids and such and head to river. My heart rate goes up
just thinking about it. A nervous excited anticipation I drove to the
river. It was high and the current swift. I wish I could describe all
of the feelings. The ramp was covered in slick mud. Ohhhhhhh man o man.
It was so good . I got to cruise river again. I hate winters freeze. My
back seat speakers were sounding good. Jimmy Buffet and Madonna. I
needed this BAD. I really enjoyed this first river cruise. Later Dave
