Iam starting to line up TV and newspaper interviews for the upcoming
Swim In May 19th at Spring Valley. Friends are saying its time for the
Brown Wonder to change color. I must agree. I have a couple quarts of
bright red and a couple of kids with a roll of sand paper. And the name
Rednready seems to work. And as Amphipoda tells us the name is very
important to Amphicar feelings. Tampa Tommy might create a rear bumper
to compliment front. It was so great being on water again. Smiling,
waving, rocking and rolling. Later Dave the Wave

I just changed from positive to negative ground. I unhooked the old fuel
gauge and installed a new sender and under dash gauge from J.C. Whitney.
It was only 19.95. The holes lined up perfect on the tank. I also
changed the temp sender in the block and installed a added a no kidding
water temp gauge and a volt meter. Now I know exactly what the motor is
doing and how long it will run.

Dave
I'd kind of like to see it a nice metallic brown instead of red if
you're taking requests, then the car's name can remain the same.

Humm, mine is now a nice brown color and I wonder why it got that
way. Could it be the half sister of the Brown wonder? What is the
VIN# of the Wonder, Dave? Mine is 101027

Going this afternoon to look at a Amphi parts car that my new body
man found just 3 miles down the road from him! Could be #6 for me and
I still haven't driven one yet!

John

Subject: Snappy' new heater blower

Hi all, So this is the deal when it's gets down to 40 degrees in the Sunshine
State its time to take some action. Our White 64 Snappy has an early style
heater under the tire. The air output, if you can call it that, was minimal
at best. I found a 3" high volume blower, round like a piece of pipe. I just
removed the 4" air supply pipe from the heater and put the blower in then put
the pipe back on with the wires sticking out. That was easy, the wires for
the original blower were at hand and I tied to them. Now there is good air
flow, good defroster and good heat. So if we want popcorn in Celina, rhymes
with Carolina, we can pop it in front of Snappy's heater. "We be warm in
Florida" - Tommy in Tampa
