Dear friends,

Its the start of a new year and its time to do some major house cleaning
here at HeavyBombers.com. So I revamped the web site and spent several days
verifying links, including yours, and updating content.

One of the results is that youve received this message. Your web site, or
a site you created, is listed on HeavyBombers. If you are unfamiliar with
the HeavyBombers I encourage you to visit and check us out.

Link: http://www.heavybombers.com

HeavyBombers lists over 100 bomb groups or specialty units that flew the
B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, or B-29 Superfortress for the USAAF in
W.W.II.

The purpose of HeavyBombers is to put researchers and veterans in touch with
people just like you. The great thing is that it is working! Our internal
statistics show that over 1,500 unique visitors a day come to HeavyBombers
looking for information and answers about the units & experiences covered by
your web sites.

With a couple clicks of a mouse or a simple search phrase they are presented
with information about the group or squadron they are interested in and a
link to your site.

Id like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have submitted
link updates, reunion news, corrections to points of contact, and all kinds
of other great information. It takes a lot of work to keep a site like
this current, and you should know that your help is greatly appreciated!

Id also like to remind you of the correct link to us,
[http://www.heavybombers.com], the site no longer uses an index.html page.
If you do have an old link to HeavyBombers, visitors will be automatically
redirected to the main page.

For those of you who have requested updated banner graphics, theyre
finished! You can now select from two different styles including a B-17,
B-24, or B-29 style banner that states, This site is listed on
HeavyBombers.com. Theres also an animated version that rotates images of
each aircraft. Take your pick and I hope you like them.

Have a great 2001 and consider joining me in my New Years resolution, to
encourage people to get involved in their respective Bomb Group or Squadron
Association. Our veterans associations are great resources and the
Internet is a terrific way to promote them to an audience of all ages.

Sincerely,
