Happy New Year! (Toast) To a new year of Renderosity may we continue to build
our friendships, our knowledge, and our online community! We have many exciting
changes that we wanted to communicate with you. We are ramping up our
communications at Renderosity and will be sending a newsletter once a month.

RENDEROSITY NEWS

This year we will begin a new event where members nominate and vote for an
artist they feel is worthy of the title "Artist of the Month". At the end of
the year, those 12 artists will be polled and one will win "Artist of the
Year". Stay tuned to more about this event.

We will also begin a new event to recognize our store contributors. We want to
recognize those artists who participate in our online store and are providing
some very talented products. This event will be called "Store Contributor of
the Month". At the end of the year, we will announce a "Store Contributor of
the Year" based on contributions and number of items sold in a year. Stay tuned
to more on this event.

January's Featured Artist of the Month
We are proud to announce the first recognized artist of 2001. January's Artist
of the Month is hobbit. Congratulations hobbit, you have been selected by your
peers. Thanks for making this a better community.

We have improved our directory by listing a single link that combines the web
resources into one section for greater ease. The link is located on the right
side bar under Directory. We have also added some new areas like Artists, Web
Rings, Service Providers and more. If you are not listed in the artist section
or others that apply to you, you should take advantage of this offer while it
is free.

New Gaming Graphics Free Stuff & Forum
Several members have asked about support for Gaming Graphics in the form of
Skins and Levels. We decided to give it a shot. If you're into creating game
skins or levels and want to share them with the community, please feel free to
upload them by clicking the link above. If we see an interest, we will add a
section to the store so the artists can make money from their efforts.

Forum Improvement
You can now preview a post to the forums before you submit it for the world to
see. There is a Preview Post button added to the forums. Tell us what you
think.

Art Gallery
We have made changes, each section now has it's own Hot 20. To see it, first
click on a gallery section, then you will see the Overall Hot 50 link replaced
with the {gallery section} Hot 20.
