About how many launches happen? Can anyone post the location, >time and directions? NARHAMS does launches at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center every first and third Sundays, beginning around 1 pm. To get there, just take 495 or BW Parkway to Route 193 East/Greenbelt. Follow the signs for the Goddard Visitor Center. The main entrance is located on the left side of the road, across from a shopping center with a K-mart. The Vistor Center entrance is left at the next stop light, Soil Conservation Road. Take the first left to get to the Visitor Center. We launch all year round, weather conditions permitting. Depending on the number of people attending, we launch from 25 to over 100 rockets in a 90-minute or so period. We also hold club launches on the second Saturday of every month in Middletown, MD (near Frederick). I can post directions there as well if you would like.
