With 5 or 6 people who are trying to achieve an effect, I usually double the recipe. 1 Bottle of wine (750ml) 1 Cup orange juice 1/2 Cup granulated sugar (to taste) Juice of 1/2 lime Brandy to taste (too much makes it taste of brandy) - we're talking jiggers Fresh orange pieces mashed in the mixture 6 ounces of a sparkling water added just before serving. Alternatively, a dry sparkling wine also works nicely and also keeps the alcohol concentration from being reduced. The texture is also a little different because the bubbles are smaller Orange slices as garnish Maraschino cherries (with stems :-) also for garnish and contests Serve over ice.
