Subject: REQ: Need Kerberos thats simple to use!

Hi All,

We sell a lot of terminal servers of various makes (e.g Xyplex, Xylogics),
which do not have an built-in user security (e.g. user/passwd database). A
lot of our client wish to use them for dial-in PPP access, but will not use
them as they want security before PPP is established.

Since all makes will allow Kerberos security, this seems the perfect answer.
The problem is the effort neccessary to compile Kerberos, for a non-development
person. I've been through it once on Solaris 1.1, and although I eventually got
it going, its was a nightmare.

Someone also kindly supplied me with Kerberos 4 (non-DES i.e. eBones) binaries
for my Linux test server, which work well, but its still too much effort to set
up Linux with Kerberos just to sell a terminal server.

So, what I'm looking for is a Kerberos/eBones server & server admin tools (e.g.
kdb_edit etc) that will run on something as simple as Windows/winsock or
DOS/packet driver.

If there is anyone out the who has tried to port Kerberos server to some type
of simple to install platform please drop me a message. If its a workable
solution, I have not problem paying for it.

Thanks in advance ...
