I vote for 1.2.x kernel targets. ELF compiled nicely for me using
the Walnut Creek Slackware 3.0 distribution and is running the
Netscape 2.0b3 Java stuff just fine. So far, I've only had to
supplement two library files to play with java-linux stuff. I'd
have to do some serious disk space rearranging to switch to the
1.3.x development kernel, but if that's what it takes ......
