I think I may have found why 16bpp is not happy on linux-java.

However, if I am right, 24bpp should work.

I cant test this... XF86 cant drive my S3 at the insane frequencies
needed to drive a fixed frequency tube at 24bpp *shrug*

Hopefully someone ehre can test this before I get back to hacking
in the enxt hour or so =)
