Well, java-linux-faq can serve for all setup related questions, etc..etc.., 
java-linux can serve for questions concerning port development, actual java
coding questions, etc.., and java-linux-announce does just what it's mean to.

At least that's my incredibly subjective opinion on the matter ;-)
