Subject: Should I commit the new if_de?

I've merged the few changes Matt hadn't already picked up back into the latest
if_de.c that Matt sent me, which I imported last week.

I'm currently using the new driver on my i386 machines and it seems to work
fine. The Alpha port apparently doesn't use quite the same version of the
driver as the i386, so I think the i386 is the only port affected by this.

Would anyone like to test this out? Is there any reason not to commit it?

Thor
