fer.tfs.com is a 2.2 box
It has s copy of the CVS tree (which I will be updating each day)
and was totally up-to-date as of yesterday.

I will make a user 'proven' on it for you

Name: proven
Password: foo42
Fullname: Chris Provenzano
Uid: 1000
Gid: 1000 (proven)
Groups: proven
HOME: /u1/proven
Shell: /bin/csh

to experiment, there is a chroot area of /chroot
eventually there will be an option to chroot into that area and become root.
this will allow you to re-install libraries etc. in a test environment
without the danger of hosingthe system..
(getting it wrong will result in you having to simply 'exit'
and getting me to fix it from the non-chroot side of things)
(which should be pretty easy).
