Of course, if you want to invest the effort, I've always hoped that somebody
would do a wrapper library so that if_*.c drivers from *BSD could be turned
into VSTa servers with little/no modification.  My first pass code review of
the *BSD sources gave me modest hope that it could be pulled off.
