It's a good idea to keep an eye on the ACS alias file (~acs/aliases).
I still occasionally get bad aliases in there.

If you're going to be supplying the service via Usenet, change the
prefix in acs-vars.  There was a lot of confusion when alembic and
slug were using the same prefix.  The two conventions are using the
initials of the newsgroup, or the first few letters of your machine
name.
