I am an employee transportation coordinator for one of this city's largest law firms. On Sept. 30, I and a number of my colleagues had the opportunity of riding on the Metrolink. I must say, that I don't know which Metrolink the people of San Juan Capistrano have been riding on, or what forms of luxury transportation they are accustomed to, but the Metrolink I rode was fabulous. Many of my fellow transportation coordinators commented on how quiet the trains are and how spacious the seating area is. While I am not tubby, I am not a small woman either and I found the seats very comfortable and large enough for me to keep my rather hefty handbag beside me on the seat. There was also ample leg room. Metrolink is a long overdue alternative mode of transportation. The Metrolink is not only about getting people to the workplace in a more efficient manner, but it is about cleaning up the air we breathe.
