Genesis, Guns N' Roses, U2 and Kris Kross will be among the performers. . . . The weekday version of "Star Search" is said to be in trouble. KCBS-TV Channel 2 has banished it to 1:30 a.m., with "The New Family Feud" taking over at 7:30 p.m. The struggling "Search" reportedly will be discontinued in January, but the weekend version is not affected. . . .
