For years, I have been waiting for a train to go to the Santa Clarita Valley, where I go once or twice a week. I was looking forward to leaving my car at home and relaxing on the train. Finally, Metrolink came on Oct. 26, but what a disappointment to find out it is a one-way train for people working in downtown Los Angeles. I thought it was a train for all citizens. I had planned to take the train in the morning and come back at night. No train at all. I just could not believe it. Millions of dollars were spent on the Metrolink for a small percentage of people. I thought we all were able use the train. There are already buses going to downtown from Glendale, and there are express buses from the valley going downtown, they are cheaper than the Metrolink, but not one single bus or train going the other way from Glendale to the valley. I certainly will not vote for any more public transportation when it is only for a certain group of people. The tracks are there and the trains are there. Why not have at least one train in the morning going to Santa Clarita Valley and one train in the afternoon going back to Glendale? Later, add a weekend service to the Metrolink.
