Wallis. The painting will go on display in February to coincide with two special exhibitions at the museum: "Degas to Matisse: The Maurice Wertheim Collection" (Feb. 14-April 25) and "The William S. Paley Collection" (Feb. 25-May 16). The Wallis Foundation Fund is dedicated to acquiring Impressionist and post-Impressionist art for the museum. The establishment of the fund resolved a disagreement resulting from the May, 1989, sale of 12 paintings owned by the Wallis Foundation that had been loaned to the museum.
