Apparently, Ms. O'Brien missed the first episode of the 1991-92 season in which Murphy announces to her colleagues that she and her ex-husband, Jake, had, in fact, taken blood tests to check for the virus. We agree with Ms. O'Brien that casual sex in the age of AIDS is a serious matter and that is why the above information was included in our story line.
