Sauces packaged in tubes are easier to measure and keep better, as
Europeans know. Lahner Imports means to demonstrate this with a line of
imported Hungarian condiments (paprika pastes and goulash pastes, both
sweet and mild, plus garlic and onion purees and four mustards) in
leak-resistant eight-ply plastic tubes. They're tasty, if a little on the
salty side, and a Gourmet Tray of all 10 items, including a booklet of
family recipes, is selling at around $17 at Irvine Ranch Markets, Jon's
Markets and delis.
