The Associated Press praised it as a "four-quack revival" and a "heaven-sent circus," while the New York Times called it "a terrific production." Frank Ferrante, Les Marsden, Robert Michael Baker and Craig Rubano were singled out for their look-alike portrayals of the zany brothers.
