Great Western's branches in Washington have about $363 million in deposits, and Pacific First's California branches have about $426 million in deposits. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Pacific First, which is based in Seattle, now operates 134 retail and mortgage banking offices throughout Washington, Oregon and California.
