The firm is also expected to announce a few hundred layoffs at its Huntington Beach division as it seeks to consolidate three separate units. The layoffs are not expected to affect Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, which had thousands of layoffs earlier this year. A spokesman would not comment on rumors sweeping its St. Louis operations that several thousand workers would be laid off or notified of their pending layoff by the end of this year.
