Many times as I've traveled on Route 78 from Escondido to the Rancho Bernardo area, I've seen a dead coyote on the highway and been heartsick. They have been chased from so much of their natural habitat. Hopefully, more people will let coyotes have a chance for survival in this land-greedy world.
