Also, he pinpointed the fourth-down, late-hit penalty that enabled the Eagles to keep the ball and score a key touchdown. As for me, the Raider troubles can be traced to one glaring spot--management. Raider management has destroyed this team over the last few years. Their obsession with speed, whether a receiver showed much of a talent for catching a football, makes no sense. Steve Largent and Fred Biletnikoff would never have made this Raider roster. James Lofton was let go and Tim Brown rode the pine for years. Besides, what quarterback on this team can get the ball to wide-open receivers? Steve Beuerlein could, but they got rid of him. Fan support would help, but Al Davis does not have public relations in his vocabulary and he has been packing the team equipment for an out-of-town move for years.
