Sunday against the 49ers at Anaheim Stadium, however, the Rams never really got their passing game rolling and Everett never completed more than two passes in a row. He finished with 13 completions in 29 attempts for 158 yards, the Rams' third-lowest passing yardage total of the season. Coach Chuck Knox said the downfall of the passing game was a combination of things. "We had some places to go with the football at times," Knox said, "but we didn't have the protection we wanted at times and we had a couple of drops and that all ties together. "When you're playing a very, very talented team, you've got to have everything going. You've got to make the plays." This article is copyright 1992 The Los Angeles Times Home Edition.
