Fearing what will happen to him in jail, Carter, badly injured during his fight with Trevor, feigns catatonia. Visiting her tormentor, Natalie hopes she can trap Carter into revealing that he's in a full state of awareness. ANOTHER WORLD: While sleeping with Kevin, Lorna wonders if the man in her bed is the same man who may have killed her father. Kevin tells Lorna he must halt their relationship until he can prove his innocence in Lucas' and Rick's murders. Finding a fiber on his coat, Kevin thinks he knows the murderer's identity. Deciding her relationship with Ryan is over, Vicky considers Grant's marriage proposal. AS THE WORLD TURNS: Trying to save Frannie from Jessup's clutches, Darryl crashes through a window with Jessup. SANTA BARBARA: B.J. decides not to marry Warren - she fears he's only doing it so he doesn't have to testify at her trial. Arrested for contempt of court when he insists District Attorney Arnold is pressing B.J.'s case to further his political career, Warren decides not to pay the fine so he can stay in jail and avoid testifying. YOUNG AND RESTLESS: Just as a guilt-ridden Victor is about to call off Paul's investigation of Victoria, Nikki finds Victoria and Ryan in a hotel room. Victor blames Nikki for being an inept parent when he learns Victoria and Ryan are lovers.
