Lord, 55, aeronautical engineer David A. Lord, 55, an aeronautical engineer, died Oct. 26 in Amsterdam. No cause of death was given. Mr. Lord was the husband of Ann Campbell-Lord, a third-generation Washingtonian and graduate of George Washington University. The Lords had lived in Europe for about 25 years. Originally from Rochdale, England, Mr. Lord worked for Fokker, an aerospace company in Amsterdam. Besides his wife, Mr. Lord is survived by a brother, Alan Lord of Tunbridge, Kent, England. Funeral services will be held Friday in Amsterdam. S=NEW STORY Charles Hanson, 67, USDA employee Charles "Mike" Mitchell Hanson, 67, a retired Agriculture Department employee, died of cancer Oct. 22 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Mr. Hanson was born in Washington and graduated from Coolidge High School and the University of Maryland. He served in the Navy during World War II and later worked for Eastern Airlines. His most recent job was in the food stamp division of the Agriculture Department. He retired in 1991. Mr. Hanson was an avid golfer and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Randi Hanson of Arnold, Md., and a daughter, Susan Hanson of Cheverly. Services will be private. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation or the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
