Robert Otis Coulson, 24, was arrested at a hotel Tuesday after the roommate, Jared Althaus, 23, confessed his role in the slayings, police said. The two men were charged with capital murder and held without bail. The bodies of 67-year-old Otis Bullard Coulson; his wife, Mary, 54; their daughters, Sarah Lucinda, 21, and Robin, 25; and Robin's husband, 27-year-old Richard Robert Wentworth, were found Friday in the elder couple's home. All had been bound, doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire. "Our understanding is . . . the reason for the murder was probably monetary," Sgt. Brad Rudolph said. He would not elaborate. S=NEW STORY Teen-agers arrested in rock-throwing JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Three teen-agers have been charged in a rock-throwing spree that damaged a school bus along Interstate 295, where National Guardsmen have been on patrol against similar attacks as well as sniper fire. Two 14-year-olds and one 16-year-old were arrested Tuesday on charges of throwing a deadly object into an occupied vehicle in mid-October. Two windows of the bus were smashed by rocks or concrete thrown from the roadside. Four children were on the bus. No one was hurt. Police had not listed the attack among the 37 verified shootings and rock-throwing incidents along I-295, one of the main gateways into Florida for tourists from the North. Two teen-agers were arrested last week on charges of attempted murder in the shooting of a motorist who was wounded in the ear and jaw. Since Nov. 6, National Guardsmen have been patrolling the highway from dusk to dawn. The American Automobile Association has warned motorists to avoid the route, a beltway that takes traffic on Interstate 95 around the city. This article is copyright 1992 The Washington Times.
