The ramp from the outer loop of the Beltway to southbound Route 1 in College Park is closed, with traffic routed onto a new ramp. Watch message board signs for details. Here are some highway construction projects to look for this week: VIRGINIA Fairfax County * Interstate 495 (the Capital Beltway): One lane of the George Washington Parkway over I-495 will close weekdays. * Interstate 395: One lane will close from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays as crews make deck repairs on the Route 1 bridge southbound. * Interstate 66: Expect midday lane closures between the Fairfax County Parkway and Route 50. Work continues on high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes from the Beltway to Route 50, with midday lane closures in both directions. * Interstate 95: Construction continues on HOV lanes from Springfield to Quantico. Expect delays. * Route 123: Work continues between Judicial and University drives. * West Ox Road: Work continues between Monument Drive and Route 29. * Route 7: Work continues between West Street and I-66. Prince William County * I-66: The right eastbound lane at Bull Run will close from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. weekends for bridge work. * I-95: Watch for bridge construction in both directions over Powells Creek. MARYLAND Montgomery County * Interstate 270: Construction continues on the I-270 spur. Prince George's County * Route 50: Expect delays and lane closures during nonrush hours just east of routes 301/3. Anne Arundel County * Route 50: Expect lane closures in both directions from the Patuxent River to Interstate 97. Also watch for delays at Route 424 in Davidsonville, as crews set new bridge beams. * Annapolis: Street closures near the Anne Arundel Medical Center will continue on and off through February. DISTRICT * Kenilworth Avenue: Two lanes will close weekends in one direction from Benning Road to Eastern Avenue. One lane closes from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, beginning with inbound lanes. * Monroe Street NE: Expect off-peak lane closures from 14th to 20th streets. * Alabama Avenue: Resurfacing continues from Hartford to 22nd streets. * Kennedy Street NW: One lane only from North Capitol Street to Georgia Avenue during nonrush hours. * Montello Avenue NE: Expect off-peak lane closures from Penn Street to Holbrook Terrace. * Florida Avenue NE: Expect lane closures from Third Street NE to New York Avenue during nonrush hours.
