The attack occurred shortly after the woman, visiting from Maine, was dropped off at the Caribbean Beach Resort hotel by her sister about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. After she put her sleeping 10-month-old daughter on the bed, a man jumped her from behind and raped her, Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Carlos Padilla said. The woman could not see her assailant clearly in the dark room, the spokesman said. It was unknown how he entered her hotel room or whether he carried a weapon, Mr. Padilla said. The woman was treated and released from Orlando Regional Medical Center Saturday night. Her baby was unharmed. S=NEW STORY Police shoot boar on interstate PENSACOLA, Fla. - Police shot and killed a 600-pound wild boar that had wandered onto a highway median, leading to one minor accident. The pig could have run into traffic had officers tried to catch it, said Escambia County livestock officer Terry Brown. "It wasn't worth risking someone's life," Brown said. A vehicle that had slowed down to watch Sunday night's shooting on Interstate 10 was struck by another vehicle, police said. One passenger was treated for minor injuries.
