The Ernest Hemingway Foundation recently bought the author's childhood home for $275,000 and plans extensive restorations to make it look as it did when Mr. Hemingway was growing up there around the turn of the century. Oak Park, a Chicago suburb, is best known for its Frank Lloyd Wright houses. But the Hemingway house is a Queen Anne-style home built in the 1880s by Mr. Hemingway's grandparents. Mr. Hemingway's early experiences there were a "tremendous influence," said Jeanette Fields, vice chairwoman of the foundation. "They loved to sit around the dining room table and tell stories," Ms. Fields said. "The grandfather had served in the Civil War and had stories, lots of stories, and Ernest would lap them up. There was an uncle who was a traveling salesman in the Klondike, and he had lots of stories." S=NEW STORY Woman charged with murder ANOKA, Minn. - A woman has been charged with killing her estranged husband and his girlfriend after showing up at their home on Halloween wearing a black cape and a monster mask. Marsha A. Palmer, 31, of Fridley was charged Monday with two counts of second-degree murder and ordered held without bail. Jeffrey T. Palmer, 35, and Karlene R.
