She was living in Alexandria at the time of her death. A native of Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Barnes operated Lee Barnes Cooking School in uptown New Orleans from 1974 to 1989. She opened it after studying at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. S=NEW STORY Herbert C. Moseley, 84, retired Virginia banker RICHMOND (AP) - Herbert C. Moseley, 84, former chairman and chief executive officer of Bank of Virginia - now Signet Banking Corp. - died Nov. 6 in a Richmond hospital. Mr. Moseley joined the Bank of Virginia in 1945 after several years at the Campbell County Bank. He rose to vice president in 1954 and became president and chief executive officer in 1959. He was elected chairman of the board in 1967 and served until his retirement in 1973. Mr. Moseley was born Oct. 3, 1908, in Gladys. He served on numerous state commissions and was chairman and a director of the Virginia Industrial Development Corporation. The funeral will be Monday at the First Baptist Church of Richmond.
