No injuries were reported. The well near downtown Hawkins is one of about 300 that Exxon Corp. has in Wood County. The fire was still burning several hours later, but firefighters had it under control, said fire dispatcher Roy Robertson. About six families were told to leave their homes while firefighters monitored the blaze. About 1,300 people live in Hawkins, 100 miles east of Dallas. S=NEW STORY Public nudity banned on Berkeley campus BERKELEY, Calif. - A University of California student who regularly comes to school naked will have to dress for class now under a new campus rule. Andrew Martinez, dubbed the "Naked Guy," has been arrested for nudity three times, but courts dismissed the charges because his behavior didn't qualify as "lewd and lascivious" under California law. Chancellor Chang-Lin Tien issued an edict Wednesday banning public nudity, sexually offensive conduct and indecent exposure at the university. The new rule does not carry the force of law, but it will allow police to ask people caught naked to leave campus, said Lt. Bill Foley of the campus police. If they refuse to leave, they can be arrested for trespassing. "The mission of the university is to teach," said spokesman Bob Sanders. "Anything that is disruptive to that can't be tolerated."
