Hillary Clinton was honored "for bringing our country's First Relationship into the nineties." Carol Moseley Braun, who upset an incumbent Democratic senator in a primary and will be the first black woman to serve in the Senate, also was named, as was Lt. Paula Coughlin. The magazine said that by coming forward and telling officials about the Tailhook scandal, Lt. Coughlin risked her career while inspiring others to detail sexual harassment charges, forcing the Navy to order all personnel to get sensitivity training.
