He died last Saturday in a Prague hospital where he had been in intensive care after his car plunged off a main highway as he sped from Bratislava to Prague on Sept. 1. His coffin, shrouded in a Czechoslovak flag, arrived in Bratislava, the Slovak capital, by air yesterday and was taken into the National Theater. There, four soldiers in ceremonial uniform stood guard as mourners slowly filed past. Mr. Dubcek, a Slovak, was to be buried today. This article is copyright 1992 The Washington Times.
