The two serious injuries were not considered life-threatening, said Capt. Michael Rogers of Metro-Dade Fire and Rescue. Seven of the injured were taken to Golden Glades Regional Medical Center, where four were treated in the emergency room for cuts and abrasions, said hospital spokesman Jorge Alvarez. Three others were being treated for more minor injuries and were in the process of being released. Fans had been pounding on the partition at the bottom of an upper deck stairway when it broke, said Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene. The partition allowed fans to view the game but prevented any falls over the railing. It was the first such accident involving the stadium's structure.
