Lonnie suffered from progeria, a disorder that caused him to age 10 times faster than normal. He died Oct. 29 at a hospital in Hornell, N.Y., near his hometown of Hartsville. The boy was a devoted Redskins fan. Gibbs learned of his illness from a U.S. representative from New York, Amory Houghton. On Dec. 13, 1991, Gibbs and Rypien called Lonnie at his home. They promised to win that weekend's game against the New York Giants for him, Lonnie said at the time. They fulfilled their promise. The boy was buried Tuesday in Canisteo. O'S PUT CAP ON SEASON TICKETS The Baltimore Orioles will limit season ticket orders so that more fans can have access to tickets for single games and multi-game packages. The Orioles drew a club-record 3.6 million fans during the first season at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and sold out their final 68 home games. The Orioles will limit season tickets to about 27,500. More than 1.5 million tickets for single games will be on sale the first weekend of the season. Only two major league clubs, the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers, imposed ticket ceilings last year. The Orioles had never before resorted to a cap, despite nearly tripling their season-ticket business in the past five years. TODAY'S TV-RADIO College football 7:45 p.m. - Iowa State at Kansas State.
