MacInnis, 29, will remain in a Hartford hospital for a couple days and won't return to Calgary until the weekend, Flames spokesman Mike Burke said Thursday. "The hip has been put back in place without a lot of problems," Burke said. An educated guess is saying (he'll miss) about two months. It depends on his ability to heal and the severity of his injury." Major surgery wasn't required, Burke said. MacInnis was injured with about seven minutes gone in the third period of Calgary's 4-3 victory over Hartford. He was skating full speed for a loose puck in the Flames' corner when he appeared to catch a rut in the ice with his left skate and crashed spread-legged into the boards. The Flames, who played in Boston on Thursday and are in Tampa Bay tonight, still have six defenseman, but could recall another from their International Hockey League farm team in Salt Lake City. "There's discussions to make some player moves," Burke said. MacInnis is the fourth Calgary defenseman to suffer a serious injury. Trent Yawney is out with a broken clavicle and Michel Petit has a dislocated shoulder. Chris Dahlquist has bruised ribs. SENATORS TO GET LOAN An American corporation has agreed to guarantee a loan to build the new hockey arena for the Ottawa Senators, removing a major obstacle in Terrace Investments Ltd.'s effort to finance the $165-million project. Rod Bryden, Terrace's vice-chairman, would not identify the company, but said it has tentatively agreed to guarantee a $100-million loan, which would be repaid over 15 years.
