OSF DCE SIG W. Tuvell (OSF) Request For Comments: Index July 31, 1992 INDEX TO DCE-RFC'S 1. INTRODUCTION This document contains citations for all DCE-RFC's valid on the date it was printed. The citations appear in the following format: M.m Author(s), "Title", Date. Bytes: roff=B1, txt=B2, ps=B3; pages: txt=P1, ps=P2. Obsoletes: M1.m1; obsoleted by: M2.m2; updates: M3.m3; updated by: M4.m4. DRAFT #D. N/A. Concrete example: 0.0 W. Tuvell, "Introduction to DCE-RFC's (Required Reading for All Users)", May 1992. Bytes: roff=43770, txt=37663, ps=100651; pages: txt=16, ps=9. The non-obvious notations in the citation format mean the following: (a) M.m is the DCE-RFC number (M = major number, m = minor number). The shorthand name "DCE-RFC M" refers to the latest reissue (largest minor number) of the DCE-RFC with major number M. (b) Bytes indicates the size for each available format; similarly for pages. This not only tells what formats are supported for a given DCE-RFC, but is also useful for retrieval verification purposes. (c) Obsolescence and updating information is given only for immediate neighbors (usually these will share major numbers). (d) The DRAFT notation appears only on drafts, and is rare. (e) The N/A notation appears only on DCE-RFC's that are not available for one reason or another. The usual reasons are: (1) a major/minor has been assigned to it but it has not yet found its way into the archives; (2) publication has been withdrawn for some reason (e.g., garbage collection). DCE-RFC 0 PROVIDES A COMPLETE INTRODUCTION TO THE DCE-RFC SERIES. IT IS CONSIDERED REQUIRED READING FOR ALL USERS OF THIS SERIES. Tuvell Page 1 DCE RFC INDEX Index to DCE-RFC's July 31, 1992 2.
