I am currently uploading the pre2 release of linux-x86/jdk to
ftp://substance.blackdown.org/pub/Java/linux .

This version should address the following issues:
  i386 and i486symlinks are included for those w/o pentiums
  datagrams should work (it was endian problems)
  libgmalloc is NOT used anymore
  libc.so.5.0.x will *NOT* owrk anymore.  5.2.16 is released.  get it.
