Subject: Kerberos (CNS) and DG/UX

I got the latest copy of CNS (aka Cygnus enhanced Kerberos) from Cygnus
last week and compiled it under DG/UX without a hitch.

There *are* some glitches in the operation of it, however.

1) telnetd and rlogind do not update utmp nor do they set stty settings
correctly.

2) rcp saves files that you copy as owned by root. Worse, I can copy
files into root owned directories that aren't world writable (/.rhosts
anyone?!)

The above makes me a tad bit nervous about other weird glitches. I'll be
looking into fixing them if no one else has fixed them yet, and will post
patches here.

I also tried (but never implemented) the MIT kerberos 5 beta and had the
following compile problems...

in src/appl/bsd directory, kcmd.c fails trying to compile strsave(). But
that is in the sys libs. configure screwed up defining HAS_STRSAVE instead
of HAVE_STRSAVE. I just manually edited the Makefile there to define HAVE
instead of HAS!

In same dir, had to manually define WAIT_USES_INT to get krlogin.c to compile

src/appl/telnet/telnetd/telnetd.c failed to compile. I manually added the
define for _POSIX_BAUD_RATE_FLAVOR to the Makefile in that directory

Most importantly, the above got the MIT kerb 5 beta to compile cleanly,
but I never tried running it. May do so in near future if the Cygnus
port proves too troublesome.
