1) I do import java.lang.Math
2) adding /usr/local/java/classes/java/lang/ to CLASSPATH doesn't help
3) I have tried changing gamma3 to gammaCube, but that didn't help either.

I have no idea why the following code:

    test1 = alpha*alpha*alpha+beta*beta;
    if (test1 >= 0.0) {
      gamma3Rad = beta+Math.sqrt(test1);
      gamma3Ang = 0.0;
    } else {
      gamma3Rad = Math.sqrt(beta*beta-test1);
      gamma3Ang = Math.atan2(Math.sqrt(-test1),beta);
    }

      gamma3Rad = -gamma3Rad;
      if (gamma3Ang > Math.PI) {
        gamma3Ang -= Math.PI;

      }
    }
    gammaRad = Math.exp(1.0/3.0*Math.log(gamma3Rad));
    gammaAng = gamma3Ang/3;
    gammaReal = gammaRad*Math.cos(gammaAng);

      alphaDivGammaRad = alpha/gammaRad;

generates the following errors:

    gammaAng = gamma3Ang/3;
               ^
MyCanvas.java:125: Statement not reached.
      deltaImg = -alphaDivGammaImg+gammaImg; // should cancel magically


Any clues?
