Despite a loss of 2.7% Monday, the 24-stock index is still up nearly 25% this year. Walt Disney Co. has risen to above 41 from 34 - a 21% move - in the past seven weeks. Short interest has risen by a million shares to 15 million during the past two months. Disney continues to expand its amusement parks overseas. The company this month said it planned to build a second theme park in Tokyo. Carnival Cruise Lines Inc.'s stock has risen 28% since early October after trending lower for most of the first half of the year. The Miami-based company operates cruise ships serving the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska as well as a resort and casino complex in Nassau, Bahamas. Delta Queen Steamboat Co. provides its guests a slice of the riverboat mystique through overnight tours aboard its paddlewheel steamboats on the Missis- sippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland rivers.
