Mark Kincaid, 22, of Burbank, was riding down the mountain road Nov. 14 about 11 a.m. when a motorcyclist heading in the opposite direction crossed into Kincaid's lane and hit him head-on, Lanza said last week. The other cyclist was killed instantly. Kincaid was airlifted to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. Kincaid's left leg was amputated below the knee, his left thigh was fractured and he suffered broken ribs and some nerve damage to his left arm and shoulder, Lanza said.
