The move puts GM's 4,360-employee Oklahoma City plant in danger of closing. GM spokesman Peter Ternes said the company would continue to explore options for future production at Oklahoma City beyond 1996. In another cost-cutting measure, GM is planning to delay redesigns of three other mid-size cars--Pontiac Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and Buick Regal--for one year until 1997, according to a report in Automotive News.
