The bank, an active real estate lender, has been suffering losses stemming from the moribund commercial real estate market in Southern California. Chief Executive Bram Goldsmith said directors have agreed to provide $10 million of the new capital already. City National signed the agreement with the office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
