The manufacturer of computer-based information systems posted net income of $48.3 million, or 11 cents a share, on revenue of $2.01 billion in the first quarter of 1992. Unisys said that in 1993's first quarter it will record a gain from changes in tax accounting and reporting for the current and last few years under a new accounting procedure known as Financial Accounting Standard No. 109.
